Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Buick Encore GX, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Stoplight Switch kit. But before we get into that, why don't we take a minute, talk about it and make sure it's something that you're gonna be able to use. Before we jump right in, I figured it'd be useful just to kinda refresh ourselves on the main parts we're gonna need to flat tow our Buick down the road in the first place. First part will be the base plate, and that's gonna provide us with a solid and reliable connection point. That way we can hook our tow bar up to it. more

Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System Installation - 2021 Buick Encore GX- Video
Hi there Buick owners. Today our 2021 Buick Encore GX, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Invisibrake Supplemental Breaking System. And the main purpose of our supplemental breaking system is to apply the brake pedal here in our vehicle when we hit the brakes on our motor home. There's a clamp attached around our pedal here that comes in your kit, just clamp it around. And there's a pulley on the floor that goes to a cylinder that pulls the cable. With the Invisibrake system, what makes it kind of stand out against the other competitors, such as Demco systems, which are similar, but they have a much larger footprint when installed. more

This is a fully integrated system that is permanently installed into your vehicle. So that way, your components here will stay here the entire time, whether you're flat towing it or driving it around normally. This is the best option, in my opinion, for a braking system if you have air brakes on your motor home. My second pick would be Demco's Stay-IN-Play DUO if you have hydraulic brakes on your motor home. more

Roadmaster BrakeMaster System Installation - 2008 Buick Enclave- Video
Today on our 2008, Buick Enclave, we will be completing a flat tow setup using RoadMaster's BrakeMaster System. This is for R-Vs with air or air over hydraulic brakes and RoadMaster's BreakMaster Custom Seat Adapter would be your balance plates. And this is what our Buick Enclave is gonna look like when it's all set up and ready to flat tow. Our motor home here has air brakes which is why we've opted for the BrakeMaster system. If you do not have air brakes on your motor home, you may wanna consider it other system such as S-M-I Stay-IN-Play DUO. The Roadmaster BrakeMaster braking system will apply the brakes inside your vehicle, when you press the brakes in your motor home. more

Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Braking System Installation - 2014 Buick Enclave- Video
Hi, there Buick owners, today on your 2014 Buick Enclave we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to use Roadmaster's Even Brake System. The Even Bake is a semi-portable braking system that is proportional, so it will apply the brake with an even amount of pressure to match how much you're hitting the brake in your motor home when you're flat towing your vehicle. It does this using internal inertia sensors. So when you hit the brakes in your vehicle it detects that movement as you slow down and it will apply the brake in the vehicle to help match that to assist your vehicle in coming to a safe stop. You can adjust the sensitivity and force of the braking system with the buttons located on the unit here. You can turn it up or down if you need more force or less, and you're just changing how much the unit reacts to the internal inertia sensor. more

Now, the reason you're going to need a braking system is twofold. The first one being that it is required by law whenever you're flat towing a vehicle behind your motor home. The second one being not only is it going to be more safe, but it's actually going to be beneficial to not only the motor home, but to the Buick as well. Now, if your Envision did not have a braking system, your motor home would be solely responsible to not only stop itself, but also our Buick. more

They're going to include the base plate, the diode wiring, a braking system, a tow bar, as well as safety cables. So either you're just beginning to set up your Buick to flat tow it, or you already had it set up and your braking system uses an indicator light, which isn't working, that's where the stoplight switch kit is going to come into play. So this is what your stoplight switch is going to look like installed. And since it uses a custom bracket, it's going to be really easy to set up and aligned with your brake pedal arm perfectly. more
